Conference: Critical Juncture? Bulgaria After the Snap Poll. Oxford, 3 December 2014




“Critical Juncture? Bulgaria After the Snap Poll: Continuity and Change in Politics, Foreign Policy, and Economics” to be held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2014 at St. Antony’s College, University of Oxford. In anticipation of the Conference, I would like to provide you with additional information concerning the Conference schedule and programme.



Schedule Overview

The Conference will convene at 10:00 a.m. at St. Antony’s College, University of Oxford. The first panel, “Bulgaria in the International System: Divided Loyalties?”, will convene at 11:00 a.m. and will finish at 12:30. Lunch will be served at the European Studies Centre, University of Oxford between 12:30 and 13:30. The second panel, “Domestic Politics, Rule of Law, and Legal Reform” will convene after lunch at 13:30 and will finish at 15:00. A coffee break will take place between 15:00 and 15:15 and the final panel, “Speeding-Up Convergence: Political Economy of Reforms and Prospects for Change”, will convene from 15:15 until 17:00. Programme Overview

The Conference will include three panels: “Bulgaria in the International System: Divided Loyalties”; “Domestic Politics, Rule of Law, and Legal Reform”; and “Speeding-Up Convergence: Political Economy of Reforms and Prospects for Change”.



Panel Presentations: Format and Structure

Each panel will include three - four presenters and each panelist will be allotted 15 minutes to present. After all panel presentations, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
